WINTER Storm 2001

3/13/13 snow total on ground

On this winter night we know in the morning I'm going to get my excercise and the school children are going to have a day off. It is going to be a day of plow, shovel, scrape, and moving snow just to get to town, but then winter sports and play in the snow time.

SPRING BREAKUP

Spring is welcome as the winters are long and everyone has had enough snow. The roads have frost heaves, trucks have weight limits, and there is a danger of flooding. The ground is wet, go off the road and your stuck in the mud. Then spring comes roaring in with the tress and flowers budding, fish biting, and sunshine.

SUMMER FUN

Summer time. Everything is green. Flowers a blooming, berries are sweet, and fresh Superior Trout. Weather just right, not hot, humidity just fine. Play in the water, lay on the beach. Pick berries; make jam and fresh wild berries over ice cream. Fire in the pit, hot dogs, marshmallows on the stick, and steaks on the grill.

FALL COLOR TOUR

It was a cool fall morning when we left on our annual color tour. On this trip we headed North taking pictures at Lac La Belle Harbor and Cliff Drive. On the way back we stopped at the Covered Road in Stanton Township and the mouth of the Salmon Trout River in Redridge taking a few more.
