Lake Mead National Recreation Area

We have been through this area many times, but this is the first time crossing the new Boulder Dam bridge (above picture is new bridge with Boulder City in background taken from the mountains to the South). There are no close pictures of the bridge or the dam here because of 9/11. Ssecurity would have taken our RV apart looking for whatever they look for. I could have taken the jeep, but we carry and sometimes it causes more issues then its worth in these high security areas.

The campground here is great with a row of sites near the water, however, Lake Mead is so low the water is a 1/4 or more mile away and at the upper regions of the lake the marinas and picnic areas don't even see the water. As the pictures show there is a lot to see here and the Vegas type life is only half hour away.
